When adult film star Kayden Kross visited The ITD Morning After studios two weeks ago, Doug Vaughn said, "How does a girl who looks like that and comes off as normal and intelligent find herself in porn?"
Fair question.
I wonder the same thing.
The difference between Kayden Kross and some of the other adult film stars I've met is that she really doesn't have anything that "explains" her choice of career. In other words, she wasn't sexually abused as a child. She doesn't have a drug problem. And, she's not psychotic. Sure, she has some edge to her...obviously...but she's a 
college student who blogs daily at www.unkrossed.com, and in a minor upset when it comes to porn stars, she can put together a complete sentence with proper spelling and punctuation.
So, I recently emailed her to see if she'd be interested in writing for insideSTL.com in the STL Ladies section. If you have been visiting this site for more than a year, you may recall I attempted to have an adult film star write here last year. Former Vivid girl Stefani Morgan said she was on board to write for insideSTL.com, but then at the last minute, she backed out.
Kayden, on the other hand, not only accepted my offer, she was so excited about it, she immediately went and posted it on her blog.
Therefore, while she hasn't made her debut just yet, I feel comfortable in saying the results with Kayden Kross will be different than last year.
Kayden will make her debut next Tuesday, but in an effort to allow you, the reader to get to know her a little bit, I had her answer a few questions for this "press release" column. Here you go:
1. Why/how did a girl next door-looking, college student like yourself get into stripping and then adult films?
It was a slippery slope and it all started with a pony. I'll go into it more later.
2. Everyone who met you when you were on The ITD Morning After thought you were just a normal, cool girl. But, the perception is that if you're in porn, you have to be fucked up somehow. So, is the perception on porn stars wrong...or are you fucked up somehow...and if so, how?

3. Favorite thing to do with a guy?
Cook him dinner and fold his socks. What do you think?
4. Favorite thing to do with a girl?
Convert her. Especially the really really hot ones.
5. Any fetishes?
They come and go, so I'm more into personal sex trends than fetishes. Lately I really like girls' lips. The love of boys and everything about them endures.
6. Fantasies?
I've lived most of them now. I'm open to ideas.

9. What do you know about St. Louis? How many times have you been here? What have you done when here?
I've been through St. Louis on a road trip and on a feature. Both times have been too brief and both times I've been amazed at how pretty the women are there. Next time I'll tour.
10. What can insideSTL.com readers expect from your column?
A whole lot of random. A chick's perspective on chicks. And an incredible lack of sports knowledge that can hopefully be redeemed by sex advice. We'll see.
