Billy Devaney Crashes Fantasy Football Draft
Ever since Billy Devaney came on our show last year---before he was the Rams' GM---I was a fan. Maybe the bar was set ridiculously low by his predecessors, but it was so refreshing to have someone from the Rams actually appear on the show and talk about the team. And, when he did come on the show that first time, he was candid---as candid as a front office guy could be---and that was also a pleasant surprise. And, finally, he just came off as a regular guy who happened to love and know football...and get paid for that passion and expertise.
So, it doesn't necessarily surprise me that Devaney would do what an emailer told me he did last week. Here's a pretty cool story:

So about 10 people from my work were having our Fantasy Football draft tonight at Buffalo Wild Wings on Olive. After about 2 rounds, some strange guy walks up to our table and starts looking at our big draft board that is taped on the the wall. As he looks if over, he looks down at us and says, "This is exactly how we do our draft, a bunch of people sitting around a table drinking beer having a good time." A little strange yes, he then walks aways and sits back down at his table.
About 5 minutes later, our waiter tells us that the strange individual who commented on our draft board will be buying our entire next round of drinks. At this point I was very perplexed. Then I started to look at the individual and somehow I recognized his face but couldn't place him. He left the bar a few minutes without saying who he was but he did in fact pick up a full round of 10 drinks for our table. Our waiter was even totally perplexed by the move.
About 5 minutes later, I realize who it was....I call out it was Bill Devaney, General Manager of the St. Louis Rams. I ask the waiter for look at the guys credit card bill and in fact it was Bill Devaney.
Classic. I have a new respect for Bill Devaney. I really don't know Devaney but he obviously "gets it". I know this may seem like a little thing, but it was a pretty cool move in my book.
What I really like is a.) he never once said who he was, b.) mentioned that he does his draft drinking beer and having a good time, c.) picked up the tab for 10 drinks of total strangers because we were showing interest in the NFL (maybe he liked that S. Jackson was picked #4 overall).

That French Maid From The Hardee's Commercial
How about that lass in the Hardee's Frech Dip Burger commercial?
Once you get past the idea of Hardee's pedaling a fucking French Dip roast beef sandwich on top of a burger, you can enjoy the lass fixing up the sheets in the French maid get up.
Being the creep that I am, I contacted Hardee's to find out who this lass was...because she was prime "Lady of The Week" material.
But, it turns out she's already been a Lady of The Week. Her name is Michelle Lombardo, and she was in Entourage last year around this time. She was only in a couple of episodes as that batshit director's girlfriend who enjoyed smoking chronic.
I don't really have anything else outside of the fact that I'd like to see her get naked.

These are more my style. A bar and beer.
