For fuck's sake...I'm 10 games over .500 against the spread on the radio...and I'm six games over .500 on insideSTL.com.
And, if I wouldn't piss all over myself with the Lock of The Week being an automatic loss of the week, that record on insideSTL.com would be a hell of a lot better. Pretty impressive that the one game I try to get right...I continue to get wrong.

Nonetheless, through seven weeks, I have the lead on Producer Joe at 20-14 to his 17-17 as we both went 2-3 last weekend. Proving how locked in on these picks I am, apparently I took the Colts on the radio and the Rams on the website.
Perfect.
Let's try and continue to flip the coin and guess right:
Missouri -3.5 @ Colorado
Producer Joe: Back to back losing weeks have brought me to .500 on the season. I want to say that things are going to turn around, but I no longer feel confident saying it out loud. On personal wagering fronts I have just hung around where I am starting each week, but I did hit a great two team teaser this week in the NBA so maybe my luck is turning around. Things need to change in Columbia though, because although they are 0-3 in the Big 12 this season, they still have a good shot
at winning the division... Seriously, K State is the only team over .500 right now. It will start this weekend in Boulder and the Tigers are going to roll. Mizzou is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 as a road favorite of 3.5-10.0 and 7-1 ATS overall in their last 8 as a road favorite. Pinkel gets it turned around this weekend somehow, someway. Missouri -3
McKernan: Let me get this straight: Producer Joe is confident he's going to get things turned around, but not confident to say it out loud. Hmmm. Didn't you just say it out loud? I digress. I still actually believe Missouri is a decent team...but the whole Gabbert injury thing is a disaster. And, you have Carl Gettis acting like an ass on the sidelines after blowing another coverage. This season could either finish strong...because the opposition is so weak, or it could be a disaster. The issue that they can't get around is Gabbert's health. I don't see that changing. He's helpless back there, and Pinkel won't put in the back-up unless Gabbert gets carried off the field. The impact on the offense is too much. Colorado +3
Texas -9 @ Oklahoma State
Producer Joe: This is the last road block for the Longhorns this season before finishing up with UCF, Baylor, Kansas and A&M, which also means its the last chance they have to make an impression against a quality opponent. If they look anywhere near as good as they looked in the first half against Mizzou, this game should be over by halftime as well. I personally don't think OK State is any good and hopefully the eye test won't fail me because I am stocking up on Mack Brown's crew. They come in at 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 following an ATS win, plus OK State is 4-13 ATS in their last 17 games as a home dog of 3.5-10.0. Hop on Bevo this week. Texas -9
McKernan: Once again, Producer Joe is instructing people to ride something. It seems each time he does that, the ride winds up a disaster. But, in this case, I agree with him. Oklahoma State isn't very good...and they're beat up. I hate to use logic...and I hate to agree with Producer Joe even more...but I think Texas beats the Cowboys comfortably. Ahhhh. As I was typing that, I had a weird feeling. Therefore, I got to go with that weird feeling...especially knowing that I had already released the gerbil earlier. Oklahoma State +9
Minnesota + 3 @ Green Bay
Producer Joe: The Rams are off the board as of the time I am writing this, but if/when they do appear on the board, just take the Lions, it doesn't matter what the spread is because loss #18 in a row is coming in Detroit.... Somewhere, John Madden is sitting around wet with anticipation thinking about Brett Favre coming back to Lambeau and lighting up the Packers, and as hot as that may sound, Brett is hard thinking about the same thing. I don't care what he says leading up to this game. There has only been one thing on his mind since he felt he was wronged by the Packers and that is destroying them in front of their fans. I have lost on the Vikings 2 weeks in a row and I am going to take them this week no matter how much the number swings. Much like the MNF game in Oakland after Favre's father passed away, he is going to be playing with a huge chip on his shoulder and there isn't anything the Pack can do on Sunday that is going to stop this train. A couple of numbers also jump out to me as well: Green Bay is 2-6-2 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a winning record and the Vikings are 5-1 ATS in their
last 6 games following a straight up loss. Take the Vikings, take the points and dream of Madden manipulating himself in a charter bus. Vikings +3
McKernan: So, now John Madden is getting wet? Perfect. Ooh. Now I see at the end John Madden is pleasuring himself. Even better. I don't care about what's going on with John Madden's ph balance or where his hand is. But, I do believe the Vikings are a better team than the Packers...and that's good enough for me. Vikings +3
NY Giants @ Philadelphia -1
Producer Joe: I am not sure this will be the biggest game played in Philly on Sunday, but I think it will be the most competitive game played in the NFL that day for sure. I want to take the Giants just based on the fact that Philly is coming in on a short week, but I really like this Eagles team. Sure Westbrook will be a game-time decision, but Philly has played a lot of games without their star running back the last few years including one this year already. But, here is the caveat, the Giants have lost two games in a row and what do those two teams have in common? Both (Saints & Cardinals) are pass-happy offenses. If Westbrook isn't playing then Donovan is going to be throwing the ball 40+ times on Sunday and I like my chances with DeSean Jackson (I am not even going to bring it up.....Donnie.), Jeremy Maclin, and Brent Celek (he had over 100 yards receiving the last time Westbrook didn't play and that was with Kevin Kolb throwing to him). Take the Eagles, they will prove to be the best team in the NFC East this season. Eagles -1
McKernan: Anytime Producer Joe starts using football logic, I like to go the opposite direction. Actually, I just like to go the opposite direction in general. Giants +1
Lock of the Week
Producer Joe: Georgia Tech -12.5 @ Vanderbilt
The Ramblin' Wreck might be the best team in the country that no one talks about and they are certainly the best team in the ACC this season. Vanderbilt are and will continue to be the worst team in the SEC, and on top of that, they also have the ugliest co-eds in the conference as well. For those reasons alone, Tech should roll. But, the biggest difference in this game is going to be the fact that Paul Johnson's offense is going to run circles around Vandy and probably have another 300+ yards rushing again this week. Tech has the #1 rushing offense in the country while
Vandy is in the bottom third in the country in rushing yards allowed this season, just above Virginia who allowed 362 rushing yards (and 34 points) last week to the Jackets. There is no slip up this week on the road for GT, they are going to be playing in a BCS bowl this season and getting a win in Nashville is still considered a win on the road against an SEC school.....although an asterisk should be attached to it......Georgia Tech -12.5
McKernan: Rams @ Lions -4
Dick knit may not have done his due diligence in looking for this spread, but it took typing "NFL Spreads" into a search engine and then clicking on the first link to find the line on the Rams' game. It's that kind of work ethic that brings you our wide variety of guests each week. At this point, I'm done with even trying to convince myself to bet on the Rams...especially when the spread is so low. They should be removed from the board. Unless Jackson gets 30 touches, it won't be close.
Lions -4
