Former Vivid Girl Stefani Morgan Joins insideSTL.com

Based on the track record of adult film stars writing for the site...or saying they're going to write for the site...or just being adult film stars...I don't really expect this to last much longer than the Scott Linehan Era, but former Vivid Girl Stefani Morgan contacted me last week and said she'd like to write for the site.

Now, if you've been coming to the site for a few years, you may recall Stefani was all ready to write for the site last year...only to back out.

It was pretty sweet.

Well, this time, Stefani says she's on board to write here and there...and I'll take whatever I can get. Kayden Kross says she's too busy to write consistently, and while I'd like to have both of them contributing, I'm not exactly going to lose sleep if insideSTL.com doesn't get its weekly porno column from our resident stag film stars. So, if today's debut Stefani Morgan column is also her farewell column, don't be alarmed.

The expectation bar on consistent contribution is set rather low. However, if Stefani is able to regularly fire off a column, I think you'll be pleased.

Much like Kayden, I've gotten to know Stefani over the last couple of years. I find both ladies to be quite attractive. That goes without saying. And, even though the stereotype of a porn star is some dumbshit with a coke problem, I'd politely suggest that in the case of both Kayden Kross and Stefani Morgan, these girls actually have their shit together. I know that's blasphemy in some corners, but even though they may be doing something/have done something some people deem immoral, they have been successful in their chosen field. Furthermore, and this is all that really matters for literature purposes on this nickel and dime website, they can write an amusing tale.

For background purposes, Stefani's a Southern California girl who grew up in Riverside. Adding to the argument that she's no airhead, she graduated from high school two years ahead of schedule at age 16 so as to begin her career as a mainstream model. And, that was going along fine when Girl's Gone Wild founder Joe Francis met her out and hired her to host some of his movies. It was that job that led her to meeting Vivid Video Founder Steve Hirsch...who signed her to a contract with one of the most prominent companies in adult, even though she had never done porn. But, Stefani, who happily proclaims her love for sex, was happy to give it a try, and it worked out quite nicely, as she was one of the nominees for the AVN Award for Best New Starlet in 2007.

However, she eventually left the business, moved to New York, and now concentrates on mainstream modeling...and doing a hell of a lot of traveling. I know she's had some celebrity experiences, but the ones that are out there for public consumption are Joe Francis of Girls Gone Wild and Tommy Lee of Motley Crue.

The plan is for Stefani to share her sex and porn wisdom every Wednesday in STL Ladies.

Dave Duncan Talks On The ITD Morning After...And Doesn't Give Ryan Franklin A Ringing Endorsement

I'm not sure if this was Dave Duncan's first interview in months or not. He made it sound like it was the first time he'd done a talk show since July...but beats the hell out of me. And, quite honestly, whether or not it was or wasn't isn't going to impact my paycheck or how much advertising we generate on the radio station...so who fucking knows...and who fucking cares.

But, I do know this: I hadn't heard him---or anyone in the organization---say what Duncan said when he joined us on The ITD Morning After on Team 1380.

When speaking of Ryan Franklin as closer in 2010 Duncan said, "If that's the role that he ends up playing for our club, I think he'll do a very good job at it. I'd like to get him some help so we could keep from using him as much as we used him. I think that not only physically but mentally it becomes draining, and I think that had a little bit of an effect on him (this past year)."

When Duncan said that, which surprised us because he said "if that's the role that he ends up playing for our club," I followed up with the question asking Duncan what he'd like to see the Cardinals do in the offseason to help out the closer situation, and he said, "A strong reliever that he's got experience toward the end of the game would be a real plus for us to add. It doesn't have to be someone who's exclusively a closer, but someone you can use when we used Franklin two or three days in a row, you can give him the rest that he needs. (Franklin) is a better pitcher when he's strong. Whenever we push him physically, he loses a little bit of the sharpness that he needs to be effective. He's not a power guy. He's a control guy. And, he has his best control and sharpest stuff when he's got his strength."

Duncan went on to say he's excited about the return of Mark McGwire to the Cardinals, and he thinks he'll be a great addition to the coaching staff. When we asked him about what he'd like to hear McGwire say when the time comes for him to address the media, Duncan said, "I've known Mark since he came to the Big Leagues, and he's got nothing that he needs to explain to me. I am satisfied that for the most part he's conducted himself with what was the norm, and I've got no problem with it."

And The Winner of The insideSTL.com Hottest Woman In The World Tournament Is...

...Marisa Miller.

Marisa was able to win by a rather comfortable margin over her Championship Round competition, the surprising 13th seed Stacy Keibler.

Marisa received the most nominations going into the tournament, and she held firm to that #1 seed throughout the tournament...really never facing any true competition.

Perhaps Marisa Miller's win isn't that big of a surprise...although I still believe Cassidey, Janine, and Shakira were robbed.
