insideSTL.com Welcomes Our New Rams Reporter, Howard Balzer

I don't know if this means we're "legitimate" now or not, but it is my pleasure to announce insideSTL.com has hired Howard Balzer to cover the Rams and the NFL this upcoming football season. Howard has covered the NFL for more than 30 years, and few people in the St. Louis area know the Rams and the league better than him. He's worked for ESPN, KPLR-TV, KTVI-TV, FSN Midwest, and he currently is the senior editor for Lindy's Pro Football Magazine, associate editor of St. Louis Sports Magazine, and talk show host on both Sirius NFL Radio and Team 1380. Starting July 21st, Howard will be writing six times per week in insideSTL.com's new STL Rams section. He'll be at Rams Camp in Wisconsin, Canton for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Rams Park for daily workouts, and all Rams' home games. It is our goal to make insideSTL.com a regular stop for Rams' fans each day...throughout the day...as Howard will be breaking news and giving his opinions on developments everyday in STL Rams. However, I do not want to lose the perspective of the fans, and so we will also have a section---like The Daily Redbird---in which we'll hire 7 of the many people who submitted sample columns to write for insideSTL.com writing their opinions on the Rams. Howard will also have a forum on the new insideSTL.com message board (which will debut within the next week) in which fans will be able to interact directly with him. What a tough crowd! But I knew that. For the person that said I was a "petafile,' you must have meant to say I touch animals in their private parts. My only requests in life are that someone know what the fuck they are talking about and don't bullshit me. Howard knows what he is talking about and generally doesn't bullshit with lofty expectations of the Rams. (See John Hadley) Good hire and looking forward to reading H Man on a regular basis in the fall.

I don't want to be negative nellie, but I would have preferred to somebody that we don't already see. I mean, it's not like all of us have never seen or heard of H's work before. It's really a duplicate service. I think it would have been nice to get a perspective from somebody who is not out there already.
