The Event

Thank you to everyone who attended the insideSTL.com Third Anniversary Party Saturday night at Lumen. It was cool to see a wide range of people there. And, as poker pro Kyle Kloeckner, who spends a lot of time in Las Vegas and Southern California said after the whole evening, "This is one of the best parties I've been to anywhere...and it restores my faith in St. Louis."

There's something about putting together 13 beautiful lasses in lingerie that makes an event enjoyable.

Thank you to Kyle Lohse, Todd "The Toddalien" Wellemeyer, Joe Mather, Adam Kennedy, Felipe Lopez, Kelly Chase, Jeff Brown, Dennis Phillips, Mickey Carroll, and Penthouse Pet Cali Taylor for making appearances at the Third Anniversary Party.

The Lingerie Contest

Congratulations to Amy Watts, a Girl Next Door for September 2008, who won $1,500 by claiming the insideSTL.com Third Anniversary Party lingerie contest title.

Our esteemed panel of judges for the evening, which included The ITD Morning After's Rudy, The Wizard of Oz's Mickey Carroll, Cardinal starter Todd "The Toddalien" Wellemeyer, Cardinal infielder Felipe Lopez, and Penthouse Pet Cali Taylor, gave Amy the highest score...and she finished in the top 3 in the crowd noise standings using the decibel meter that was up on all the flat-screen TV's at Lumen.

August 2008 Girl Next Door Angela Coen finished second, and she won $500. And, June 2008 Girl Next Door Amie Taylor finished in third, taking home $250 after a crowd noise tiebreaker gave her the win over April 2008 Girl Next Door Jessy Cagle.

News, Notes, And Random Crap From The Party...

-I'm incredibly sorry for the audio issues we had during the radio show. I'm looking into what caused it, but suffice it to say, one of the main goals of this event going in was to improve on the audio problems we had last year. It was easily the biggest disappointment of the evening for me, and I'm really sorry to those of you who came wanting to hear the show and were unable to do so.

-Penthouse Pet Cali Taylor is an amusing lass. Sure, she's hot and all that stuff, but I've now had her on the show twice, and both times, she's been incredibly amusing. "The Pride of Ritenour High School" brought it strong Saturday night...ranging from an invite for me and my wife to join her in the a broom closet to a girl-on-girl pursuit of a number of the contestants.

-Good to see Mickey Carroll and insideSTL.com message board legend Big Al getting together at Lumen Saturday night. Mickey arrived early Saturday night, and as always, he brought some glossy photos of his appearance in The Wizard of Oz to autograph. Within 5 minutes, 3 Girls Next Door were walking around with one of those things.

-For about 15 minutes while we attempted to find Cali Taylor before starting the lingerie show commenced, Mickey Carroll and The Toddalien, who were sitting next to each other for the lingerie contest judging, were talking it over. I couldn't help but wonder just what the hell that conversation was like. I did notice that Mickey Carroll had signed an autograph for The Toddalien...on his dry erase board.

-The next insideSTL.com event is Friday September 5th at Flannery's for the August Girl Next Door and Cougar Next Door contest. And, our next major insideSTL.com event will be in late January for the Girl Next Door of The Year contest at Lush.
