After a month's worth of auditions, dozens of ladies coming into studio, and various insights into the St. Louis sports world ranging from Webster University winning a state basketball championship to Matt Holliday's dropped fly ball just being a bad call by the umpires, the members of insideSTL.com and The ITD Morning After have decided on the cast for Nick And The Badger,
Team 1380's new midday show that will air from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning in six days.
Producer Joe and Charlie Marlow will be joined by Mike Wellington and Hanna Hercules.
The initial plan was to have just one co-host join Producer Joe and Charlie, but as the auditions progressed, we felt like Hanna's personality would add to the feel of the show, and Wellington's sarcasm and level-headedness would balance out Producer Joe and Charlie when they start verbally slap-boxing.
Here's what I believe: if you like The ITD Morning After, then you'll probably like Nick And The Badger.
It will be grabass. Stupidity. And, it'll be out at a variety of restaurants and bars quite often...at which insideSTL.com will be giving away tickets courtesy of The Ticket Guys. It'll be a traveling circus.
And, even though we give them shit, I know that Producer Joe, Charlie, and Wellington know their sports, and so when the time comes for a need to seriously discuss sports, they'll deliver. I also know that Hanna understands that she doesn't know sports...and so when the show is talking sports, she'll be as active in the discussion as Charlie is when he's on The ITD Morning After and we're talking politics.
You'll get a chance to see the debut of Nick And The Badger Monday at Johnny's in Soulard. Come out and watch Producer Joe, Charlie, Wellington, and Hanna from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at one of the best lunch spots in the city. We'll have attendance prizes, tickets to give away, and crappy radio to continue our theme from The ITD Morning After.
It's Nick And The Badger...and now with four people as part of the cast...the title of the show makes even less sense.
Perfect.
