What is an aphrodisiac? The textbook term for an aphrodisiac is a substance that increases sexual desire. O-la-la. Does an aphrodisiac guarantee you hot sex and the ultimate fulfillment of all your sexual fantasies; probably not, but it sure does help. It certainly does increase your libido; or maybe it’s all in your head? No pun intended. As Dr. Ruth Westheimer once said, “There is no such thing as a true aphrodisiac.” But, chocolate and alcohol have certainly fueled my inhibitions! You be the judge. Here are the top foods and beverages to help get your juices flowing.
How many times have you put a piece of chocolate in your mouth and gave off a deep moan? Perhaps you provided a deep “mmmm.” Chocolate has a few compounds that induce a psychoactive chemical that makes you feel good. The dopamine chemical sends a pleasure signal to the brain. The signal also peaks during orgasm. Next time you eat a piece of chocolate think about it. When I eat chocolate I always find myself blurting out a, “this is so good.” Chocolate is like sex, it simply makes you feel good.
Additional libido tips: Melt the chocolate, put it on your lover, one night stand, or anyone else you are in “like with.” Have fun.
Oysters are extremely high in Zinc. Zinc is required for sperm production.
3.Bananas and Avocados
These fruits resemble the male genitalia, Testicles and a Penis. Avocado’s contain B6 which helps sperm continue swimming in the sea. Bananas are known to stabilize the male libido.
As legend has it, figs were Cleopatra’s favorite food. If you are familiar with erotica literature, there any may references to figs being compared to female sexual organs. Figs are sweet and very, very, sexy in appearance. Figs are also considered a passion fruit.
While alcohol does give a lot of us liquid courage and even dilutes our judgment, Red wine is known as a libido enhancer for females. Research has suggested that women who drink one to two glasses of red wine a day have stronger libidos than those who do not. Too much alcohol can lead to poor performance in the bedroom. However, several types increase your awareness and can be relaxing. Cognac, or “yac” as Snoop Dogg would say, is a relaxing liquor. Tequila is known to raise your heart rate, and activate your senses. How many times have you offered alcohol over a romantic meal? It’s certainly not there because it goes with the meal!
