Some things are better after you leave them for a little while and come back. Bands and bad relationships tend to be shining examples of this rule. Every so often, you slowly drift apart, only to eventually come back together to share and rekindle the magic that you once produced together. The St. Louis based acoustic group ' FolknBluesGrass' will do just that this weekend at Broadway Oyster Bar for a reunion show of sorts.

FolknBluesGrass is an eclectic four-piece band featuring talented local musicians Brian Curran on guitar, Steve Bauer on mandolin, Travis King on doghouse bass and Fred Altiere on percussion. They play a great mix of folk, blues and bluegrass garnished with a little bit of reggae, rock and even some jugband. It is like a crock-pot of musical goodness featuring both great original material and some 90's covers thrown in for good measure. This group and their song selection most definitely offers a little bit of something for everyone.

Formed in 2004, FBG performed shows all over the area including large gigs at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, countless festivals andmany other stages in St. Louis and beyond. This group of guys has seen many things and have yet to meet a cold beverage they didn't like while making music that just makes you want to get up and stomp your feet.

The band parted ways in December 2010 to focus on other projects but they have decided to come together one more time to rekindle the magic at The Broadway Oyster Bar this Friday night starting at 9:30. It is sure to be a memorable night as FBG take the stage once again. If you are looking for a party and one hell of a good time, swing by Broadway Oyster Bar and check out FolknBluesGrass, you will NOT leave disappointed.
