Introducing CBS Sports 920
I’m quite fired up to announce that we have reached an agreement with CBS Sports Radio to become their St. Louis affiliate at 920-AM when we launch the new station August 1st.
This agreement means the official title of our station will be CBS Sports 920.
We spoke with a number of different networks about partnering, but in the end, we decided CBS Sports Radio was the best option for us as we launch our new station.
The fact that a reputable network like CBS saw what we were doing in St. Louis and wanted to be a part of it is quite flattering, and it’s our responsibility to deliver a product locally that lives up to CBS’ reputation nationally.
As we announced a little less than a month ago, our lineup from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. will be:
7 a.m. to 10 a.m. - The Ryan Kelley Morning After with Tim McKernan, Jimmy “The Cat” Hayes, and Doug Vaughn
10 a.m. to Noon - The Pressbox with Frank Cusumano
Noon to 2 p.m. - Middle Relief with Joe Strauss, Bryan Burwell, and Charlie Marlow
2 p.m. to 3 p.m. - The People’s Show with a lineup of new voices to the St. Louis sports talk radio scene everyday
3 p.m. to 6 p.m. - The King And The Ripper with Kevin Slaten and Jack Clark
The focus of CBS Sports 920 will be our local programming, but with our agreement with CBS Sports Radio, we’ll be carrying Scott Ferrall On The Bench from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. and The DA Show from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m.
All of our programming on CBS Sports 920 will be streamed live on insideSTL.com. And, all of our programming on CBS Sports 920 will be available live on the TuneIn app for your phones. Furthermore, as many people in 2013 now listen to their favorite shows on demand on their phones, iPads, or laptops, all of our shows from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. will be archived daily by segments…so you can listen to your favorite show or a much talked about segment on CBS Sports 920 anytime you want.
As has been the case and will continue to be the case, I appreciate and will answer your questions or respond to your comments if you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have plenty to learn, and I want to get the feedback of our listeners and website visitors as often as possible to help build a station and website you want to patronize, so please email me at email@example.com.
In the meantime, it’s a thrill for us to be able to announce that in 10 days, we’ll hit the airwaves with our all-new station, CBS Sports 920.
