Friendly’s Presents Week 12 of The Football Picks of The Week

Congratulations to bnierman for winning Week 11 and the $25 gift certificate to Friendly’s. Both he and Brian Haenchen of The ITDRoll.com Morning After fame won six games and lost just won. But, bnierman won the tiebreaker…and therefore…we’re still waiting for our first Asian-American winner of The Friendly’s Football Picks of The Week.

None of the three of us did anything special. Producer Joe and I went 3-4 while Denny picked up a game in going 4-3. I do, however, continue to pwn holes with my Locks of The Week. 8-3 is the real deal, yo.

Let’s take a look at the standings:

Producer Joe: 39-36 (6-5 Locks of The Week)/ Last Week:  3-4 (1-0 Lock of The Week)

Tim:  38-37 (8-3 Locks of The Week)/ Last Week: 3-4 (1-0 Lock of The Week)

Denny: 34-41 (7-4 Locks of The Week)/ Last Week: 4-3 (0-1 Lock of The Week)

You can partake in the fun and games by filling out your picks in the comments section below and picking a Lock of The Week from www.scoresandodds.com.

Week 12. Game on.

Syracuse at Missouri (-4.5)

Producer Joe: Oh boy, this is just what we thought this game would be at the beginning of the season, a battle for bowl eligibility because no one gives the Tigers a chance at going to College Station and beating Johnny Football.  Plus some people are concerned about the fact that Syracuse beat undefeated Louisville last week.  I scratch my head and wonder why people are concerned about beating an undefeated Big East team that wasn't very good in the first place but oh well.  I think there will be some positive momentum coming off of last week and that is bad news for Syracuse.  Plus I really like the fact that the line has come down from the 6.5 that it opened at on Sunday evening.  I wouldn't be surprised if more dumb money rolls in on Syracuse as the week goes on.  Lot of value to be found with the Tigers this week.
Pick: Missouri (-4.5)

Denny: Missouri (-4.5)

No Sheldon Richardson. I still don’t think it’ll be a problem.
Pick: Missouri (-4.5)

Oklahoma (-11) at West Virginia

Producer Joe: I know West Virginia has been shit for the last month but I can't bring myself to picking the Sooners considering the number. Think the Sooners win outright but the Mountaineers will keep it somewhat close.
Pick: West Virginia (+11)

Denny: Oklahoma (-11)

Why are we picking this game? K-State against Baylor? Notre Dame against Wake Forest? Oregon against Stanford? Who knows.
Pick: West Virginia (+11)

Ohio State at Wisconsin (-2.5)

Producer Joe: Its a slow week in college football unless you are interested in USC/UCLA.  I could pick the Oregon game for us all to select but I am being selfish and holding that for my lock of the week.  Goodbye undefeated season.
Pick: Wisconsin (-2.5)

Denny: Ohio State (+2.5)

Same statement as above. No idea why we’re picking this game. And Producer Joe just mentioned another one that we should be picking in USC/UCLA. Clownfest.
Pick: Ohio State (+2.5)

Jets at Rams (-3.5)

Producer Joe: The Jets are a mess, a hot steaming pile of shit.  What sucks the most is the Rams pissed a game away last weekend that could have helped them achieve a .500 record in the middle of November.  If people are going to talk about the Saints and their playoff chances at 4-5, well then the Rams would be in the same conversation with the same record....but the Rams killed themselves. I understand that teams have to learn how to win close games but this is the second time this season that odd timeouts have taken place (week one vs. Detroit).  3-5-1 could easily be 6-3.  Shocking.  But so it goes and I think they win this week aga inst a team that has been outscored 58-16 the last two games they played.  Have fun watching Tim Tebow in the 2nd half.
Pick: Rams (-3.5)

Denny: Rams (-3.5)

How great would it be if the Rams were on the verge of going 5-5 this week? When you watch the Dolphins fuck around on Thursday night in Buffalo, you wonder how a team that had the 49ers on death row a number of times ever lost in Miami. The Amendola Factor. Las Vegas just doesn’t quantify it.
Pick: Rams (-3.5)

Packers (-3.5) at Lions

Producer Joe: The most easily played game of the week.  Don't even think about it. The Packers are going to roll.
Pick: Packers (-3.5)

Denny: Packers (-3.5)

Tim: A lot of people are going to lose a lot of money because of this game.
Pick: Lions (+3.5)

Colts at Patriots (-9)

Producer Joe: Patriots are probably going to win outright but it will be a close game.
Pick: Colts (+9)

Denny: Patriots (-9)

Tim: Patriots (-9)

Locks of The Week

Producer Joe: Stanford at Oregon (-20.5): I really like Stanford.  A Lot.
Pick: Stanford (+20.5)

Denny: Saints (-4.5) at Raiders
Pick: Saints (-4.5)

Kansas State (-13) at Baylor: If Collin Klein’s playing, the Wildcats are pwning.
Pick: Kansas State (-13)

Now it’s your turn to make your picks. Select the six games we all picked, and then pick your own Lock of The Week from www.scoresandodds.com. Also, as a tiebreaker, give the total score on the Rams-Jets.
