*The headline of this story is not true. Carry on. Happy Wednesday everyone. Based off what we saw this past weekend from quarterbacks Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson, I ponder the following image yet again ...
Even if Sam Bradford plays his best, do you think that will be as good as the other two? Competing with the Seahawks and 49ers next year and the years to follow is going to a be a difficult task. The Rams need to continually load up on talent. That includes the quarterback position.
The task of competing with San Francisco and Seattle is going to be even more difficult if Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer leaves to become the head coach of Jacksonville. It's not to say Bradford can't do it; it's to point out the harsh reality that those other two guys aren't going anywhere. Challenges.
ROB RYAN STILL NOT THE RAMS DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR
If you've followed this non-story over the past five days, you've seen Ryan get hired in media stories only.
Maybe we should make up a Rob Ryan story. Here goes.
Rob Ryan thought he was at a nudist beach when he took off his swim trunks and killed 75 people due to heart attack and shock.
Should be a story on the afternoon news. In the meantime, let's hope the Rams really don't hire the guy.
BRADY TO PASS FAVRE & MONTANA; KURT WARNER STILL REALLY AWESOME
Over the weekend, Tom Brady set the all time record for wins in postseason history. He will soon have the touchdown record as well.
However, Kurt Warner averages more touchdowns per game based off some simple math. Take a look:
Joe Montana - 45 TD passes in 23 postseason games (16-7 record)
Brett Favre - 44 TD passes in 24 postseason games (13-11 record)
Tom Brady - 41 TD passes in 23 postseason games (17-6 record)
Peyton Manning - 32 TD passes in 20 postseason games (9-11 record)
Dan Marino - 32 TD passes in 18 postseason games (8-10 record)
Kurt Warner - 31 TD passes in 13 postseason games (9-4 record)
Terry Bradshaw - 30 TD passes in 19 postseason games (14-5 record)
Even more than a decade after the fact, Warner's career with the Rams was absolutely incredible.
To give you a chunk of info you might not actually know, did you know that Warner has started all 16 games of a season three times? All three of those times his team made it to the Super Bowl. Efficient and explosive that Kurt Warner is.
