Tuesday the Blues didn't play a real game - they don't play until Thursday night. But that didn't stop Alex Steen and Andy McDonald from suffering injury. As a result, the team has called up Andrew Murray on an "emergency basis"

There is also speculation resonating in Philadelphia that the Blues are one of two teams targeting Danny Briere. From the
Phiadelphia Daily News:

Briere makes sense for a lot of reasons for a team like St. Louis - and even for the Flyers to be intrigued enough to move him. Currently, Briere isn't the type of player who will get a team into the playoffs, but getting there isn't likely the problem for the Blues. (They could use a boost up front, especially after Andy McDonald left practice Tuesday with an injury.)
Briere is owed $5 million over the next two years but has a no-trade clause.

Understandably, Briere doesn't have interest in moving. This isn't a rental situation, where he'd only have to gut it out this season before becoming a free agent. His family is rooted here, including his three hockey-mad sons, Caelan, Carson and Cameron. He earned his right to veto any future deal when signing his 8-year, $52 million pact to join the Flyers in 2007.

Assuming that Briere waived his clause and agreed to come to St. Louis (all speculation at this point) there are whispers that the Flyers would ask for Kevin Shattenkirk in return, which is hilarious. One big hilarious joke.

Hopefully the injury to Andy McDonald isn't severe and he'll be back on the ice soon.

LET'S GO BLUES SHOPPING ON EBAY
Since we can't make purchase decisions for the Blues, I suppose browsing through the aisles of Ebay is the next best thing. Thanks to STL Gametime for the heads up ...

Anyone want to play pogs?

Sticking in the era close to Pogs, how about a little Mike Keenan tribute on the
94/95 media guide?

"General Manager and Head Coach" ... that's where it went wrong.

Anybody want a
Blues "Nesting Doll"? This is supposed to be Al MacInnis, Barrett Jackman and Chris Pronger.

Kind of looks like David Perron.

How about a
Grant Fuhr jersey

Brett Hull:
Hockey's Top Gun ... this VHS is probably wicked.

The
McDonald's Crease Police is now accepting applications ...

And finally, if you can't acquire Danny Briere, the next best thing is a sweet
Brett Hull shirt

Ninja please...who the hell came up with this? Oh yeah, thats right...the same dipshit ilk of fans that say things like, "I hear the Cardinals are trading Allen Craig and Rosenthal for Miguel Cabrera."
