Happy Friday everyone. Gotta love that dry heat. If we had 90% humidity right now, this would truly suck and Cindy Preszler and Steve Templeton would be in the crosshairs.

I'm just playing, Cindy. But you, Steve, not so much.
That's a joke again. I think.
MIZZOU NEWS
With a Thursday break in the Cardinals schedule, we turn our attention to Mizzou athletics. Lots of stuff going on. The NBA Draft took place last night. Kim English got drafted by the Pistons. According to the Detroit Free Press, English is an "athletic shooter" (going out on a limb). Michigan Live says the Pistons like English's defense and 3 point shooting.
English's teammate Marcus Denmon was the 59th overall selection by the San Antonio Spurs. Denmon can partly thank Chris Brown and the entourage of Drake for injuring Tony Parker's eye thus creating a greater need for a guard.

STL TV ADVERTISING ICONS AMENDMENT
Regarding June 18th's column and video tribute to St. Louis' TV Icons, I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. I think we can safely narrow St. Louis' Facebook profile to a handful of interests: sports, food, beer and crappy advertising.
I should also mention Frederic Roofing and their world famous jingle. Frederic will meet Johnny Londoff in the finals of STL's ad jingle tournament at date to be determined.
WHO KNEW? SJ AND THE PIPS DO EXIST!
Earlier this week we looked at Billy Devaney's comments about the St. Louis Rams roster when he first took over. The comparison was made that the Rams were basically Steven Jackson and the Pips. Devaney said he would have been happier in some cases with members of the Pips which means that we need to listen to the soothing soul of the group that doesn't really exist.
