Tonight marks the 1,000th episode of Monday Night Raw and it takes place at the Scottrade Center. If you're into that sort of thing, check out USA Today's article with interviews from Vince McMahon, HHH and Kane (sans mask). You can also read the Post-Dispatch's article from today's paper.

Onto a celebration of some of Raw's greatest matches and moments from the beginning of Raw's television dominance through the end of the Monday Night War's. We start with the a match from the 2nd episode in Raw history, but not before a scan through the intro's of Mondayyyy Night RAWWWWWW (said in Vince McMahon announcer voice).

LOSER LEAVES TOWN - RIC FLAIR VS. MR. PERFECT (Jan. 1993)

SHAWN MICHAELS VS. MARTY JANETTY (May 1993)

BRET HITMAN HART vs. The 1-2-3 Kid (July 1994)

"THIS WHOLE THING IS A HOAX. YOU MIGHT CALL IT A PERFECT HOAX" - Vinny Mac

BRET HART SNAPS ON VINCE MCMAHON (Mar. 1997)

Not a match, but this was so surreal for the time. It was the first time Vince McMahon was treated as the owner and also the first time Bret Hart stopped caring about being a baby face.

STONE COLD CONFRONTS IRON MIKE TYSON (Jan. 1998)

"NEW AND IMPROVED" STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN (May 1998)

MANKIND vs. THE ROCK (Jan. 1999)

CHRIS JERICHO DEBUTS (Aug. 1999)
