I have a few cd's that I made at home that seem to work fine when playing them at home. But when I play them in my car, there are skips in some of the songs. Is the cd player in the car going bad, or does it need to be cleaned? Do they make a cd cleaner I can put in there to try and clean it to determine if it's dirty or on the shitz? Thx in advance.

I've noticed that if I have the burn speed set too high on my computer, that cd's skip more in the car. Not sure if that's the cause, but it seems to work for me if I just turn the burn speed down to x8.

And if that is the case, it's probably magnified in a car that's a little older. (anything over 5 years)

Cool. Didn't know there were different burn speeds. I'll go to itunes and check that out. Unless I need to be burning from a different site that is better than itunes. Thanks.

No, you are probably set to "max burn speed" Just slow it down a little, I keep mine on x8 and they still burn in 5-6 minutes.

Is it the factory CD player or an aftermarket one?
