I had 7 hours on the road tonight so I forced myself to listen to this. I got about halfway through the 3rd song on the day that it came out before turning it off from boredom.

This thing blows.

I love the previous albums and Cantrell's solo stuff, which is basically the entire band minus Layne plus a few extra side guys.

All of the vocals are just distant wailing and moaning buried under a way too heavy mixed guitar bed. I think I have a feeling who was controlling the mixes in the studio.

The vocals are like a bad and insulting tribute to the bad Layne vocals, not the good ones.

This thing blows.

Luckily with 5,000 tracks on my phone I'll never have to waste my time with it again.
