He did something strange with Wainwright recently. It was the last week of May and LaRussa pulled out Wainwright after the 7th or 8th inning. Wainwright was pitching a helluva game. The next week, Wainwright is chugging along and Michaels hits a grand slam against him in the seventh to tie the game. Instead of pulling his ass, he sent him back out there in the 8th and Wainwright lost the game.
