Okay all you grillers, I need some help

I need to get a bbq pit but I know nothing about them.

Two restrictions:
small budget
propane

I'll hang up and listen

Cheap as shit there.

sports authority has a tabletop propane grill for 50$. that's as cheap as you will find. believe me i've looked. It runs on them 3 pound tanks

Go with the Weber and buy a hotplate at Walmart. I run the cord through the bottom of my grill and set it on high. Put soaked hickory in a stainless steel pan, cover with foil with holes poked in. Smoke away with your ribs. Sombody posted a thread about it on the old board. I tried it and it rocks.

Set it on as high as it will go. I do want to say that you have to use a non-reactive pan like stainless steel or glass or something. First time I used cast iron and the ribs had a hint of metal taste to them.

Awww...bill, i don't think you'd be a disappointment. We could start the day off with an estate sale and a flea market, stop by a diner for breakfast - chat over our great finds. Then when we get back to my place, you can sit on the couch and watch the ballgame. Just hollar when you're ready for another beer since i'll be getting all the cooking and cleaning done while you relax.
