So I buy a new HDTV today. I go to Wal-Mart a little while ago to get a ps3 and a Blue Ray DVD to watch since I didn't get my Dish upgraded to get the HD channels. I pick out a DVD and there's no one in the electronic department to unlock the cage to get me the PS3. I ask a couple of 60 year old hoosier broads who are walking around doing nothing if they can get someone back there. They go over the intercom requesting assistance in electronics. So I wait...and wait..and wait. Finally I stopped some other broad who I think had an assistant manager badge on. She pulls some bullshit that she doesn't have keys and that someone should be back any minute. So I wait...and wait...and wait. All while this broad is bull shitting with somebody she knew. I finally walked over to her and threw the dvd on the ground by her feet and say "Fuck Wal-Mart." I'll be at Target when it opens in the morning.

should have bought it all on amazon.com. cheaper, plus no sales tax.

If you're not in a big hurry for the PS3, buy it online, there's no tax, and when you buy something that expensive it's free shipping. I bought mine from buy.com and got a free game.

In MO'Fallon, the normal people for the most part go to Target. The Wal-Mart clientele has the appearance of coming form a third-world country.

My hate for Wal-mart started in college back in Rapid City, SD. They'd bus the Indians (feathers not dots) up from the reservations to shop after they got their casino checks on the 1st of the month. I made the mistake of going in there one time and it looked like a buffalo hunt.

I started driving an extra mile and spending 1.5 more cents on the dollar at Target.

I have no hate for Wal-Mart. Maybe because I go to the one in West County by my office. I get all the basics there for cheap. Paper towels, soap, TP, dog food, etc.

Ours is currently undergoing a huge remodel. Thankfully, the local soccer moms and hippies "kept us from getting a SuperCenter." The reason? It would have been unsafe.

I don't mind Wal-Mart...I'm usually in and out in about 5-10 minutes and when I go, it's usually early in the morning.

Are you from SD? My ex was from Spearfish. Although SD is a bunch of nothing, it's cool to drive across the state. Neat scenery

Grew up in Pierre, went to college in Rapid. The Black Hills are amazing, I would have stayed if I got work, but you're right the rest of the state is worthless, except during Pheasant season.

What's that little town you pass through on the way east to west through the black hills that looks like a movie set? They've got a bunch of dances with wolves stuff.

The 1860 town between Murdo and Kodaka? That's just a gas station / tourist trap at the junction with another highway going nowhere. If it's a real town I've never known the name of it and I've been by it 100's of times.
