No Office this week because of the debate. Don't want to talk about why it is necessary to have it on every local channel therefore cancelling something more people would watch, but it's out there. Just thought the loyal followers of Michael and the Scranton gang would like to know. I'll be watching playoff baseball instead.

I would assume they've done their research and have discovered that they'll get better ratings showing the debate, even though they are going up against other stations. Probably because there are more people that care about the election than there are fans of the Office.

So my wife and I signed up for Netflix and we were trying to watch movies in the "watch now" tab. Well all the movies in there are outdated so we started watching the office at episode 1. I forgot how funny this show was right when it came out.

In the first episode Michael has Jan in his office with some dude on speaker phone. The guy on speaker doesn't know that Jan is there and starts talking about her saying, "Does the curtains match the carpet". The Michael hangs up on him. I was rolling.

I would think it hard to stand out with a character that was meant to be mousy, quiet and picked upon. Having her get engaged to Jim was not a great idea for her character arc, no question.

Yeah, I get that that is how her character is supposed to be. She did a radio interview talking about how she got the role by shrugging and giving one word answers in her interview with the casting directors. I just think that there are quite a few other actors on the show that have that very bland personalities like Oscar and Stanley and Phyllis, and they still manage to have these moments that make me laugh out loud.

Parks & Recreation - not a fan. It was annoying, although the hot chick from the office was in it. that made it a little better but not worth watching again.

I'm willing to bet it has to do with the spinoff. Not sure how...maybe they form the company and them Michael and Pam go back and leave the new show to Ryan...
What spinoff?

I had high hopes of it and really like her. However, after seeing the previews I do not think it will last very long.

I'm willing to give it a little longer, but I was less than impressed. I think they tried to copy the format of The Office too much.

I'm thinking we just saw some foreshadowing. I bet Michael hears Charles say something incriminating through the duct work then uses that info to get his job back.

Interesting. I could see this happening.

Agreed. That show was awful. It was "I switched to the repeat of the Cards game" bad.

I thought this was one of the better lines in the show.

I would give my right nut if they would make it an hour long every week.

Two strong episodes last week. I didn't think I'd like the Michael/Pam/Ryan trio but they've had some funny moments.
