You prefer car payments to car repair.

You perhaps have some attention deficit issues.

What you drive is important to you for some reason, and you are in a situation with considerable disposable income.

Your wife is accustomed to getting what she wants, and considers certain luxuries as basic staples.

Or, I could be wrong and it just means you are missing a testicle.

You prefer car payments to car repair.-NO

You perhaps have some attention deficit issues.- CHECK

What you drive is important to you for some reason, and you are in a situation with considerable disposable income.-INDIFFERENT on the car thing... 3 years ago I cared moreso. I do not fly, so when we travel we have to be comfortable.

Your wife is accustomed to getting what she wants, and considers certain luxuries as basic staples.-YES, but it is mostly my fault

Or, I could be wrong and it just means you are missing a testicle-not so much missing as just being down a man, but with a half empty satchel my penis does look bigger.

eh, not bad. 60%. For the record mine is a company issued vehicle and the SUV is paid off... daughter talked us into getting a convertable (sort of... grandma has one, mommy wanted one, daddy is sick of only having the company car when mommy is at work).

I too will be trading in the truck, due to the increase in the family size. Think we are going with the GMC Acadia or Saturn Outlook.

We really like the ones we have seen. Saturn Outlook is basically same car under different name. And of course about 6-8K cheaper

True, but not TOO bad. But hey, when you are waiting on kids 4 & 5 to pop out, you kinda run out of options, short of a school bus.

I dig the hard top. It will only get out of the garage occasionally so the leg room is not really an issue (the kid is 38" tall... she needth little leg room). A bit more of a chic car than I thought when we discussed it, but way better than a 3 series or mustang would have been.

that is just fucking depressing...

why?

it gets 35 MPG and is the best 4,000 investment i have ever made.

i got it 8 years ago and i have only put a battery and some new spark plugs and wires in there.

total of 300 put in the car and over 95,000 miles put on it.

I will drive it for 1 more year and then once my wifes mini is paid off I will get a new one.

I don't understand the fascination with cars. You drive it back and forth to work......why does it have to be stellar?

I drove one from 10th grade thru college. It was a great car, put it to rest with a shade under 300k on it (1994 model). Only routine maint. and a clutch while trying to teach the wife how to drive a stick.

I will drive them both until they die at this point. Neither are worth more to anyone else than they are to me/us. The trade in value for both is minimal considering the mileage.

I guess it is more of a personal choice. I didnt really mean to come off as a douchebag, however, it seems I did. Some people are more into cars...engines and horsepower than others...hence, why I guess it depends on one's perspective.

My Mom drove a Tercel for a few years...the thing just ran and ran. She said she was going to keep it until it crapped out...it never did. They are well-built.

yeah, they really are. I, too, was hesitant about the Volvo, but after test driving it...it had excellent exceleration, good handling, nice style and the retractable hard top is pretty nice. It won me over...I want to get the XC90.
