Villain (UTG+1) is 19/3/1.4 over 1100 hands. No notes on villain, only stats (I do take notes on players, but with 1000 hands and no notes it means I haven't seen him play anything oddly or especially good). I'm running 16/11/2.7 and I've won a few hands but haven't shown anything down.

MP1: $145.85
MP2: $80
CO: $86.95
BTN: $100
SB: $19
Hero (BB): $137.80
UTG: $100
UTG+1: $120.85

Pre-Flop: Kh Ah dealt to Hero (BB)
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $1, 5 folds, Hero raises to $3.50, UTG+1 calls $2.50 [standard raise.]

Flop: ($7.50) 7h Jh Kd (2 Players)
Hero bets $6, UTG+1 calls $6 [great flop for me. I have TPTK plus nut flush draw. Standard CBET. Villain simply calls. Flat calls make me suspicious but I'm not scared yet]

Turn: ($19.50) 5s (2 Players)
Hero bets $15, UTG+1 calls $15 [I still think I'm ahead, and if not, I have a draw to the nut flush. No need for pot control here, so I bet. Villain calls. I start to see monsters under the bed. Is this a set? Some odd 2 pair? Flush draw? ]

River: ($49.50) 7d (2 Players)
Hero ?? [My flush doesn't come through, the board pairs, and I only have TPTK and the pot is pretty big. I'm out of position with a hand with good showdown value but that can't stand a raise. What's the play? Do I: check/call, check/fold, bet/call, or bet/fold? Me thinks check/call is the play. There aren't many hands that will call another bet that I beat (maybe KQ or KJ). If I check, villain might check behind and I get a cheap showdown or it may induce a bluff on a missed draw that I can pick off. What would you do and why?]

i agree with the check/call option unless he makes a really big bet, then i think your forced to lay it down. i think with the way the hand played out he is problem sitting on kq and not real proud of his hand at the moment. kj is a possibility but i think a raise would have been in order after the turn if he had that hand. i think the hand resulted with a check/check and you took the showdown

Probably not a big surprise, but I went with the check/call line. I checked and villain bet $29. Even though I thought I might be beat, I had made my decision and followed-thru with a call. Villain showed 10h,8h for a busted flush draw. I sure wish the flush card came so I could have stacked him.

What I'm not sure of is if the check/call plan was right or not. At least I followed through with my initial plan instead of changing my mind.
