My neice is like 6 months old and I just keep buying her clothes that are like 3-months or so higher than whatever age she is at the time. Occasionally I get a blanket if it is really soft or a toy if I think it is cool, but I think clothes are a safe (if kind of boring gift). (target has a really cool baby outfit that is a fucking tyranasaurus playing basketball -- HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS THAT? -- It would be perfect for a boy, but I said "fuck it" and I'm giving it to my neice, because it's a fucking t.rex playing basketball, man!)

I think some kind of financial thing could be cool. I have kicked around the idea of stuff like stocks or bonds for babies, but I don't think my family would think that is cool, so I don't do it.

EDIT: or, yes, midgit porn -- maybe like a trust fund of midget porn could be started so that the kid can have access to it once he turns 17 or 18. That way you can grow the midget porn collection for years.
