Channel 4 hyped this up last night, it was the lead at 10pm.

Some parents are objecting the Rockwood School District's use of textbooks that replace the familar B.C and A.D. to describe periods in history.

Some textbooks in the Rockwood District have replaced those familar letters, which are based on a Christian timeline, with new letters. No more "Before Christ," but now BCE, meaning "Before Common Era." The traditionally used AD becomes CE, or "Common Era."

16 years ago when I was a Freshman at a Catholic high school, they had already changed this. Why is Rockwood just now getting to this?

Does anyone here actually think this is a big deal?
