Make sure your fingers are dry and really grab them. You may get some eyeball when you do but you need to take them out. It will be worth it.

No! The water will just create a suction and the contacts will stick to your eyeballs. Just pinch them really hard and they'll come out. Do it. Or fall asleep in them. Either way.
